Circle

Circle - a set ofpoints equidistant from a fixed point (center)

R = the length of the radius of thecircle

C = the center point of the circle

Perimeter (Circumference) = 2 R

Area = R 2

Note: Points of the circle are only points ofits circumference. The center is not considered a point of thecircle, nor are other points inside the circle.

In problems, the decimal approximation of may vary.Sometimes, you may be asked to use 3.1, or 3.14, or 3.141, etc., for, or elseyou may simply be asked to give answers in terms of.

Example: 25 would be the area of a circle whose radius is5.
