Cone

Cone - a three-dimensional shape whose base (bottom surface) is a circle, and is "pyramid-like", in that the top of the cone is a point.

Surface Area = R2 + RS

Volume = 1/3 (Area of bottom surface) (height)

= 1/3R2H

 

Note: The cone is quite similar to pyramids, and its formulas for surface area and volume are actually the same as the corresponding formulas for pyramids!
