Note: The symbol (pi) is pronounced like the word PIE, and is an irrational
number whose decimal value is about 3.141592653 . . . Problems whose solutions
involve the number are carefully worded so that either should be replaced by
decimal approximations, such as 3, or 3.1, or 3.14, etc., or else an answer should
be written in terms of .
