Trapezoid

Trapezoid - a quadrilateral whose bases are parallel to each other, but whose other two sides are not parallel to each other.

B1 = the length of one base of the trapezoid

B2 = the length of the other base of the trapezoid

H = the height of the trapezoid

A = the length of one of the nonparallel sides

C = the length of the other of the nonparallel sides

Perimeter = A + C + B1 + B2

Area = 1/2 H (B1 + B2)

Note: If the two nonparallel sides have the same length, then the trapezoid is said to be isosceles.
