The meeting was held at Prince House

Roll call of teams - Twenty-two teams were represented
(29 coaches total).

Webmaster, Vaag
Mosca, reported that web site was infected with a
worm this year. Web work was extremely
difficult as site deteriorated. With
help of Kip Bryan, things are beginning to get back on track towards next
year. Currently over 900 pages on the
site.
4.
Minutes of the fall meeting were
distributed and unanimously approved as written. Tony asked that if you did not receive email
from him but would like to be on his list, please email IMLEMCONTACT@aol.com and ask him to put you on the list.

It was reminded that starting with the
2003-2004 season, the terms “Division” and “Cluster” will be reversed.
6.
Tabulator, Bob Velevis,
was unable to be present, however, Tony asked that all coaches keep track of
which students should be on top scoring list and check the spelling carefully
since this is what Tony will use to order trophies.
7.
Test Writer, Kent Findell,
stated that he is still struggling determining level of difficulty of many
questions. He appologized
for the error in the answer key in category 4, meet 5. The correct answer sheet was distributed.
8.
Vaag
suggested that cell phone use would have helped in contacting meet sites for
meet 5 problem.
Proposed solution: Each VP will
give a cell phone # (if they have one) to

Treasurer's report, presented by Kelly
McCormack: Balance with some bills still
outstanding: 4,636.95 Expenses from the spring meeting
(including trophies and plaques) will come out of the balance. The estimate is up from previous year. The report was approved unanimously.
10. The
topics for 2003 - 2004 will remain the same.
There was some discussion about inserting factorials in the future. Vaag will give

configurations for 2003 – 2004 were distributed. They may be changed if enough schools drop
math team to make some clusters too small.
12. Nominations
for officers were called for. It was moved
and unanimously approved to maintain the President, Test Writer, Treasurer, and
Tabulator as is. Kip
13. Proposal
by Kip to move website to a commercial site (www.IMLEM.org). Cost would be about $150 per year. Proposal accepted. A link will be set up from old web site.
14. Some
of bylaws are badly out of date and are in conflict with current practices of
the league. Kip will rewrite mistaken
bylaws and bring proposal to Fall meeting.
Tony will help him in this endeavor.
15. Proposal
by Tony to raise VP stipends by $xxx in an attempt to make the job more
desirable. (redacted, see Advisors area) One suggested that $ won’t
help; people need to be more willing to take a turn. Some suggested that with the possible loss of
3+ schools, it would be wiser to wait until the Fall
to determine if we will have the money.
Proposal was tabled until the Fall meeting.
